Step 3: Transportation
Once collected, your waste is transported to our state-of-the-art recycling centre, delivered to be sorted and separated for recycling.
Step 4: Sorting
Your skip waste is sorted in-house by their materials, including:
- Hardcore
- Gravel
- Topsoil
- Paper
- Plastic
- Metal
Step 5: Treatment
Once sorted, your items are treated depending on the type of material, and are either processed in-house, or outsourced to be recycled. Here are just a few examples of how your waste is repurposed:
- Wood is recycled into biomass, which generates green, renewable energy.
- Metal, card, and paper are all recycled to be reused in new materials.
- Concrete and brick are crushed and repurposed as recycled aggregates to be used in construction.
- Green waste is used as recycled compost.
- Any residual waste is recovered and used to produce Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) which generates electricity!
